Prometheus a Titan

 

who cared for humans

 

noticed people were cold and struggling Without fire

 

he took it upon himself to help by secretly ascending Mount Olympus

 

stealing fire and returning it to Earth for everyone's benefit

 

this fire was essential it kept people warm helped them see in the dark and cook their food

 

however Zeus the chief God

 

disapproved of Prometheus's actions

 

he believed Prometheus needed to learn a lesson

 

consequently Zeus had Prometheus bound with sturdy chains to a large rock

 

each day an eagle would consume prometheus's liver

 

the strange part is Prometheus's liver regenerated every night

 

and the bird would return the next day to repeat the process this went on

 

until Hercules a hero stepped in facing challenges

 

he rescued Prometheus by defeating the bird
