（轟！一塊石頭爆炸!）

【石猴】

Ha! Ha! Ha! Here I am. I am a monkey, but I have golden hair.

哈！哈! 哈!我在這裡。

我是一隻猴子，但我有金色的頭髮。

【老猴】

Hi! Little monkey!

Where do you come from?

嗨！小猴子！

你從哪裡來的？

【石猴】

I come from THAT stone.

從那個石頭裡。

【紅猴】

What is your name?

 你叫什麼名字？

【石猴】

I don't know. I have no name.

我不知道。我沒有名字。

【藍猴】

Well, you come from THAT stone! Let's call you" Stone Monkey." Let's be friends!     

嗯，你來自那個石頭！

就叫你「石猴」吧。

讓我們來做朋友！

【石猴】 Sure! 好ㄛ！

【藍猴】 Let's go play near the river.

我們去河邊玩吧。

【眾猴】Hooray!  萬歲!

Act 2   第2幕 

(流水/音樂)

 

【石猴】

    It's so beautiful ! 

    What's that?

   太美了！那是什麼？

【老猴】

  That's Water-Curtain Cave,

      那是水簾洞，

  a cave behind the fall.

    瀑布後面有一個山洞。

  But no one has been there.

    但沒有人去過那裡。

  If you can go there,

       如果你能進去那裡，

  you will be our king.

      你就可以做我們的國王。

【石猴】OK! Let me try!

那我來試試看吧!

(Splash! )

(Stone Monkey jumps into the river.)（撲通！石猴跳進河裡。）

【紅猴】

   Oh! He is so brave!

      哦！他真是太勇敢了！

【藍猴】

   It is dangerous!

   Maybe he will die in the       water.

      危險！也許他會死在水裡。

 

【老猴】

  He is at the river bank now.

   他游到對岸了。

【黃猴】

  Look! 

  He is going through the fall.

   看！他正在穿越瀑布。

【紅猴】

  Look!

  He is entering the cave.

  God bless him!

   看！他正在進入山洞。

   老天爺保佑他！

  (Later) （不久後）

           (流水/音樂)

【老猴】

  Look! 

  He is coming out of the        cave.

      看！他正從山洞裡出來。

【紅猴】

   Great! He is still alive.

    太棒了！他還活著。

【老猴】

   Wow! He is so brave!

     哇！他真是太勇敢了！

【黃猴】

  Look! 

  He is jumping into 

  the river again. 

      看！他又跳進河裡了。

【藍猴】

   Look! He is swimming to us.

      看！他正在游向我們。

(石猴爬上岸, 眾猴將他抬起來)

【All】Monkey King ! Monkey King ! Monkey King ! Hooray !!!

【眾】美猴王！美猴王！
            美猴王！萬歲 !!!

【石猴】Oh! No ~ ~ ~ 

         I’m exausted!

         Help! Help!

        哦! 不 ~ ~ ~

        救命哪! 救命哪!

        我已經沒有力氣了!
