Hercules (英)
Hercules
Hercules was born in Thebes.
In fact, he was the son of Zeus.
When Amphitryon went out to
fight, Zeus disguised himself
as him and went to see
Amphitryon's wife Alcmene.
She gave birth to two children, Hercules by Zeus and Iphicles by Amphitryon.
The two children were in great danger when they were under
one year old, and their reactions were completely different, showing the
difference in blood.
Not long after Hercules was born, Queen Hera knew about it.
She was furious and determined to kill Hercules, so she sent a big snake to attack him.
The big snake woke up the two children.
When Amphicles saw it, he screamed and climbed out of the bed.
Hercules sat up, reached out and grabbed the big snake's throat, and handed over the dead snake with a smile.
After that everyone knew this kid was going to do big things.
Teresias, the blind prophet of Thebes, told Ecmena:
"I swear that many women, as they roll their wool at night, will sing the praises of your son and the man who gave birth to him.
He will become the greatest hero of all mankind."
