Cupid, the little winged god of love, always carried two arrows, one of gold and one of lead, even when he visited his mother Venus.

One day, his golden arrow accidentally stabbed Venus in the chest.

 Cupid left his mother without noticing it.

 Anyone who is stabbed by this golden arrow will fall in love with the first person they see after being injured, even the goddess is no exception.

Venus fell in love with a young man, Adonis, who was running around in the forest wearing a hunting suit.

From then on, Venus only hunted in the forest with Adonis, or drove around in a carriage.

　　背上長著翅膀的小愛神丘比特總是帶著兩隻箭，一枝金箭，一枝鉛箭，當他去看他母親維納斯的時候也帶著。有一天，他那隻金箭不小心在維納斯的胸口輕輕的刺了一下，丘比特自己並沒有察覺到，就離開母親走了。只要被這金箭刺到的人，就會愛上受傷後最初看到的人，連女神也不例外。

 

　　維納斯就愛上了一個身穿獵裝，在森林李東奔西跑的少年奧德尼斯。

 

　　從此之後，維納斯只和奧德尼斯在森林裡打獵，或駕著馬車到處馳騁。

 

Venus knew that Adonis loved hunting, so she warned him not to hunt ferocious beasts,

but as soon as the goddess left, Adonis forgot her warning.

He saw a wild boar running out from among the trees.

He immediately bent his bow and shot an arrow at the wild boar.

 

The wild boar was injured and rushed towards Adonis crazily.

He hurriedly ran away, but the wild boar still caught up with him, and Odernis was stabbed to death by the wild boar's fangs.

Venus seemed to have heard his last scream and hurried back, only to see Odernis lying in a pool of blood.

維納斯知道奧德尼斯喜歡狩獵，便警告他不可以獵取兇猛的野獸，但是女神一離開，奧德尼斯就忘了她的告誡。

 

 

他看到一頭野豬從樹叢間跑了出來，他立刻彎起弓，一箭射向那頭野豬。野豬受了傷，瘋狂的向奧德尼斯撲了過來。他急忙拔腿就跑，可是野豬依然追上他，奧德尼斯就這樣被野豬的尖牙刺死了。

She was heartbroken, hugging Odnis and crying bitterly.

 

　　維納斯似乎聽見了他的最後慘叫，急忙趕了回來，一眼就看到倒在血泊中的奧德尼斯。她傷心欲絕，抱著奧德尼斯失聲痛哭。

 

Later, a brightly colored flower named Autumn Peony bloomed where Adonis died.

 However, this autumn peony, like Adonis, has a short life.

It blooms in autumn and withers after a short time.

　　後來在奧德尼斯死去的地方開出了一種色彩鮮豔的花來，名叫秋牡丹。不過這秋牡丹和奧德尼斯一樣，生命很短，在秋天時開放，過不了多久便枯萎了。
