忘記昨日的歡樂，不擔心明天的風雨，只在乎今天，珍惜今天，過好今天是美國民歌”今天”(Today)的主題思想。
這首歌由美國著名民歌音樂家蘭迪.斯帕克斯(Randy Sparks）作詞作曲（蘭迪.斯帕克斯在1961年創立了美國民間音樂組)，由美國民歌手約翰. 丹佛(John Denver)唱紅。
歌詞像一首小詩。我理解第一段歌詞的韻腳是a-a-b-b（兩行同韻）, 第二和第三段歌詞的韻腳是a-b-a-b（隔行壓韻）,第四段歌詞簡單重複第一段。
按這個韻腳的格式，我試着翻譯了歌詞，沒有細細推敲，做個練習。請朋友們多指導。

我理解民歌的歌詞一般都簡單，樸實，詼諧，押韻和富有哲理。
從這首歌的英文原文上看有這些特點。
但由於水平有限我翻譯後的歌詞就失去了民歌的特色。
翻譯時注意了押韻，如原文中有，vine and wine; away and today; rover and clover; sing, bring and spring; glory and story，就按原意擴充了些詞彙，如drink翻譯成”杯杯盡情”，是為了壓韻”櫻和情”。
但這樣處理就有些遠離民歌的味道了。
另外作為歌詞，為了合曲可能還有字數的要求。
這些在翻譯中都沒有考慮到。
如果直譯，語言可能簡單些，但也失去了原文詼諧，押韻的風味。
要做到”信，達，雅”真不容易。
