Sometimes there are things that need to be transported up the mountain.

On a moonlit night, after sitting evening meditation and four incense sticks meditation, they have to go thirty miles down the mountain to carry it.

Less than two hours after I came back to rest, it was time to go to the morning palace again.

After the morning hall and morning hall, the morning meditation only sat for half an hour, and it was time to farm the slope again.

 So life at that time was very tense and busy, but the masters were very firm in their cultivation.

In addition, at night, two people are required to work in shifts of two hours each to take turns guarding the rice fields to prevent wild boars from invading.

Because there were many wild boars and tigers in the mountains at that time.

When the millet blooms and is about to mature, wild boars come in droves.

As long as one wild boar barks, dozens of other wild boars will hear the sound and devour the millet poles in the rice fields.

In this way, a large rice field will be gone at once.

Although the old monk was so old, he still insisted on joining our night shift of guarding the rice fields.

Master Hai Deng was working as an abbot in the mountain at that time.

He saw how hard the old monk was working, so he also joined the public in taking turns watching wild boars.

有時有東西要運上山，在有月亮的晚上，坐完養息香及四支香後，還要到山下三十里路去擔。

回來休息不到兩個小時，又要上早殿了。

早殿、早堂過後，早板香只坐半小時，又要打板出坡了。

所以那時的生活是很緊張、很忙碌的，但是師父們的道心都非常堅定。

此外，晚上還要每兩人一班，每班兩個小時來輪流看守著稻田，防止野豬來犯。

因為那時山上的野豬、老虎很多。

當谷子開花後，快成熟時，野豬就成群結隊的來了。

只要有一隻野豬叫，其它幾十隻野豬就聞聲而至，大肆吞噬稻田裡的谷子支杆，如是一大片稻田一下子就沒有了。

老和尚年紀雖然那麼大了，還是堅持要參加我們晚上看守稻田的輪班工作。

當時海燈法師在山上當住持，他看到老和尚都這樣辛苦，於是也來參與大眾輪班看野豬的工作了。
